Relaxxx

I just finished Panera for the second time this week, and I ordered the same thing: Frontega Chicken Panini and the Broccoli Cheddar Soup.. I'm so full right now, but so happy too cuz it was delicious. I don't have time to do lunchtime walk, but I promise promise promise I will do at least 3 miles tonight. I also promise to not over-indulge for dinner this evening. I'm not sure what we're having but I'm going to go light.




A couple reminders for myself or anyone:


• Hunger comes and goes. Just because you feel hungry one minute doesn't mean you'll still feel it 20 minutes later.

• This is not a diet. It is a lifestyle change.

• Just because I mess up one day or part of a day, doesn't mean I'm back to my old habits. It is a learning experience.

• Motivation is the key to success. Think positive and don't lose sight of the goal in your head.

• I hate being fat!!

• I want to look good in my clothes. I want the clothes to actually hang properly off my body. (Alisha, you know what I'm talking about! lol)

• Exercise is the most important thing. Even if I eat healthy all day, it is not going to do me good for long if I don't stay physically active.

• Eat to live, not live to eat.

• Relax, and eat your meals leisurely. It's not a food tri-athalon. Chew at least 20-30 times before swallowing.




I Gotta Step It Up

Yesterday just wasn't a good day for me. It started out ok, but ended up eating blueberry pie, a Chipotle Burrito, and Uno's for dinner.. Not good at all. On top of that, I only walked a short little mile. I'm disgusted with myself and I feel like blahhhh. The scale says 249.8. I'm so angry.

But, today is a new day, and I will do better. I have learned that I can't eat like I ate yesterday and then do hardly any exercise. That's not happening again today.

I need some more motivation!!!!

Finally I Come Through

I'm finally posting the "couple-week-after" photos.. Here goes nothing!






Ok. Pictures on blogger are so freakin difficult to post!! Goshhh! If you can't tell, the pics in black are before (they are dated, anyways) and the pics in blue are from 2 days ago. I can see a little improvement. I want to see lots more in the next few weeks!!

As far as dinner went, we went to Outback with cousins/coworkers. We got the Bloomin Onion and Cheese Fries appetizers. I ordered the Grilled Chicken on the Barbie with Vegetables, and mom, Charlie, and I shared a very small piece of cheesecake.

I felt guilty after dinner, so I walked up and down my street, and up and down, up and down, for an hour and a half.. It was boring, but it was good for me, because I did 4.05 miles, and burned 380 calories. I could've done more, but I'm sleepy y'all.

I will blog more in the morning. Gee, I absolutely love blogging! Nighty night!!

My Long-Term Goal

I'm not sure if I ever really said what my long-term goal is. When I went to Weight Watchers before, I started out at 230 and got down to like 170-175 lbs (gosh I miss that). I think this time I will make my goal just slightly below that at 165. I think it challenges me even more than last time. I just did the math right now and that is 96.2 lbs that I need to lose (well, actually minus the 14 lbs that I've lost). That's A LOT! LOL.
I'm not expecting it to happen super fast, but I'm hoping that by this time next year I will be at my goal or pretty close to it.

Starting Weight:      261.2 lbs
Goal Weight:          165.0 lbs
Lbs. Needed:           96.2 lbs
Current Lost:          14.4 lbs
                          =   81.8 lbs left to lose!!!!

That makes it a little easier to understand, right?!

Do Pimientos make Potatoes?

Have you ever tried pimiento loaf before? It basically is bologna with some green and red peppery-looking things inside of it. It is really fattening and tasty. That was my lunch. Two slices with provlone cheese and mayo on 2 pieces Fiber bread. Plus some blue corn tortilla chip crumbs.

I wasn't able to walk, again! I really need to walk tonight. I don't want to make this a habit of non-exercise!! Ahhh!! Help me prevent the couch potato effect!!

Progress

I just wanted to remind myself that I am making progress in this weight loss journey (and stupid me, I forgot to post pics again and still didn't bring charger to work..ughhh).

My Journey thus far-

Starting weight (8/1/10):     261.2 lbs
Current weight (8/25/10):   246.8 lbs
Total weight lost:               14.4 lbs

I haven't forgotten about my rewards, either. I'm not rewarding myself with those earrings until I get down to 245. I'm hoping by sometime next week (like Monday or Tuesday) that I will reach this goal!!! I want a pair of earrings. I was thinking cheap ones at first (like really cheap, like $10). But now I'm thinking like maybe $50-$75 wouldn't be too horrible to put on the credit card... would it?? Well, we'll just wait and see what happens with this weird body of mine first.

I have a weird body..



Last night's dinner was cubed steak, and I ate like 2 and half steaks, a piece of bread, 1 1/2 boiled potatoes with cheddar cheese and crema, and some broccoli. Don't forget that lunchable and everything else I ate yesterday also. I didn't even do exercise last night because I was straightening up my room, and the scale somehow turned up in my favor: 246.8 lbs it said. Is that possible? Yesterday morning it said 248.8 lbs (and that was after doing a lot of exercise). But I felt like a fat whale last night, and today the scale is down?? Amazing. I can't think of any explanation for that one. I'm just grateful.

Breakfast was a bowl of honey nut cheerios and half a banana with a glass of cranberry juice.

Lunch should be pepper loaf and cheese sandwich.

Not sure about my morning snack yet, but I'm not really caring at the moment.

I wanna go back to bed.. :(

I Lied..

So I ate an afternoon snack about 5 minutes ago, and yes, I'm still at work. I planned on waiting until I got home, but I was feeling a little bit sick. So, I decided to eat a pepperoni & cheese Lunchable. It was 300 calories, and 11 grams of fat! Not the best choice for a snack, but hey, I gotta satisfy my cravings occasionally.

Now, I'm definitely not going to eat anything until dinner. I'm going to try and drink a bunch of water, too.

I Love Panera

For my snack, around 10:!5 this morning, I ate half of a pumpkin muffin from Panera. It was gooood.

At lunch, we actually went to Panera. I got the You-Pick-2, with the Broccoli Cheddar soup and the Frontega Chicken Panini. I think all together my meal was like a little bit less than 700 calories, which isn't bad, I don't think (especially compared to all those other restaurants out there i.e Baja Fresh, McDonald's, Lone Star... restuarants close to the office). I got really filled up on that meal plus on some iced tea I got from there.

Afterwards, mom and I went to the Giant and got some groceries and walked around a little bit.

No intense exercise during lunch. Hopefully I will get some in later.

I probably won't eat an afternoon snack until I get home..

By the Way

I forgot to mention I took some "after" pictures the other night. Now, as you would imagine, these are only the "few week after" pictures. They are not the final product. Those won't be for awhile (but hopefully not too far down the road). I am planning on posting those some time this evening (I left my camera charger at home, so I can't hook up the cam to the comp). So, that is something to look forward to (at least for me!).

There's Always a Reason


Morning weight: 248.8 lbs. Again, it's a little bit up, but it is my fault. I'm still not too worried, because I did 4.55 miles last night. But, I had that muffin yesterday, and the hot peanuts, and rice with crema for my dinner and some cookies, and my smoothie.. I'm guessing all of those things played a part on my small gain.

For some reason, I'm not in the mood for oatmeal in the mornings. I hadn't even been eating too long and I'm already tired of it. Maybe like once a week I could eat oatmeal, instead of everyday. Instead I had some cranberry granola bar. It was 160 calories, and a small glass of whole milk.

I might be going out to lunch today, but not 100% sure.

It looks like it's going to rain, so I probably wouldn't get to go walking, even if I ate in.

Is it 10:00 am, yet?? I need a snack..

Burn, Baby Burn

I just finished a walk to old town on my lunch break. I'm sooo hot right now. I thought going to old town and back would be more than 2 miles, but turns out I did 1.90 miles total (to and from) burning 179 calories. I feel tired now..  Too bad I have to work til 5 pm.

For my morning snack, a co-worker had brought muffins from Panera. AHHH!! Muffins are deadly! But I ate one. I ate the 450 calories one, which is the Apple Muffin. I'm not sure if it was worth the 450 calories, but it wasn't bad.

Then for lunch, we were out of mayo, so that was an excuse to go to 7-Eleven and pick up something. I got the TGI Friday's frozen Quesadillas. There are 2 in a pack and each is 260 calories, and I ate them both, bringing my lunch total up to 520 calories. Now, those were worth the calories. I might pick those up again sometime. So that was my lunch.

I also picked up a pack of hot peanuts at 7-Eleven, which I am saving for my afternoon snack. I'm not feeling hungry at the moment so those quesadillas must have done their job. :o)

Going Up?


The scale was up a bit this morning: 248.6 lbs. But I'm not too worried.

Last night I ate Outback Steakhouse. I had the shrimp ceasar salad, but I also grubbed on the bloomin' onion and on 2 chicken fingers and a few fries. BUT, I did 6.21 miles after dinner!! Yes, 6.21 miles. That's a longgg way. I think I will be ok tomorrow as far as my weight goes. I burned like 575 calories, which probably takes away the bloomin onion and maybe one chicken finger.

Today, I ate a Chex Mix bar for b-fast. Those things are really yummy. Anyways, I'll keep you posted.

Breakfast, Lunch, and What's for dinner?

For breakfast this morning I ate one pancake with chocolate chips and lite syrup. That was around 11:00 am. About 2:30 I ate 2 chicken legs with carrots, potatoes, rice, a tortilla with crema and cheese. It was kind of a lot of food. It wasn't anything special, either, but at least I am full!

I think for tonight we are going out to dinner, possibly to Chili's. I was looking at their nutrtional values for the meals, and most everything is 1000+ calories. Not good at all. They do have the Margarita Chicken and Monterrey Chicken in the 400-600 calories ranges. If we do end up going there, that's probably what I will get. Thinking about those other high calorie foods makes me not want to even go out.

Too Much Steak


When I got home around 12::30 pm yesterday, I decided to eat my leftover dinner from Friday. It still tasted pretty good. Then for dinner I had more steak, barbecued steak.. Oh my goodness it was reallllllly delicious. I also ate some more rice and guacamole and pico de gallo. A little bit later on, I had  a dish full of fudge royal icecream. That was all I had for yesterday.

Today I weighed and the scale said 246.8 lbs. I'm a happy camper!
